Agnes C. Peters

Agnes C. Peters, passed away on May 9, 2021. She was born on February 16, 1938 to Harold and Agnes (Essman) Painter. Agnes received her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Akron and was an active member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church and was the former Executive Director of Faith in Action of Stark County. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader and Foster Parent to numerous children. She is survived by four children, Christina (Stephen) Common, Rodney M. Peters, Robert J. (Laura) Peters and Michelle M. (Kirk) Destefano; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Peters; four sisters; and two brothers. The family will gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6pm-8pm and at Saint Barbara’s Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30am-10:30am with A Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10:30am. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required. If you are not feeling well, or if you have a compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
