Ada L. Barnes, age 91 of Loganville, GA, formerly of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, GA. She was born in Madisonville, Tennessee on September 21, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Tom and Della (Spradlin) Lee. During World War II she worked one year in the Y-12 uranium enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, TN before she was married. On July 18, 1947, Ada married Quinton S. Barnes. He along with her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Massillon State Hospital for 27 years before her retirement. Ada was a charter member of Massillon Baptist Temple where she served for 54 years until she moved to Georgia. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Rick McClain of Georgia, her grandchildren, Kimberley (Mark) Taghon and Chad (Sarah) McClain and her great grandchildren Shelbey (Zachary) Seyfried, Jackson Taghon, Emily McClain and Madison McClain. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Massillon Baptist Temple with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday (TONIGHT) from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday at the church one hour before the service.
