Aaron W. Pachis, age 59 of Massillon, died Tuesday, Sept 20, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Massillon on November 14, 1951 to the late Nick and Anna Bartko Pachis. Aaron was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1969 and received his Associates of Science in Business from Akron University in 1977. He was a United States Army veteran. He worked at Progressive Chevy for 28 years and then for State Farm as a Claims Estimator until his retirement in December 31, 2009. He was a life -long member of: St. John's Lutheran Church, The Sons of Herman and the Moose. Aaron enjoyed; coaching Little League Baseball, playing softball, bowling, golf, painting and restoring old cars, spending time with family and watching his grandchildren play sports. He is survived by his wife, Diana N. Vasquez Pachis, whom he married on July 25, 1970, two sons; Kevin M. ( Helen) Pachis, Brian W. ( Melissa) Pachis both of Massillon, a daughter Kimberly Pachis of Tiffin, six grandchildren; Isaac, Anthony, Zachary, Kayla, Caden and Braylon, two sisters; KarenPachis (James) Kirkbride of Massillon, Annie Pachis (John) Schwab of North Canton, special cousin, Gene Webb of Richville and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday September 24, 2011, from 1:00PM till 4:00PM with a funeral service held at 4:00PM, officiated by Pastor John Telloni. Memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association or The St. John's Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund.
