Aaron Keith Peterson

Aaron Keith Peterson, 23, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2020. He was born on November 25, 1996 in Massillon to Brian Peterson and Cathy May. Although Aaron was only 23, he was lucky enough to meet the love of his life, 5 years ago, Jonna Nickol and they share 2 amazing little boys together and have a daughter on the way. His devotion to Jonna and his children was something to be admired. He loved them so much and enjoyed spending all of his time with his boys, whether it was at the park or playing basketball with them. When he wasn’t with his family, Aaron enjoyed playing video games, basketball and listening to music, especially rap music. He was a kind-hearted person who would have done anything for anyone. Aaron was not only a loving boyfriend and dad, but he was also an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by his love, Jonna Nickol; his children Jace and Jaxton Peterson and his daughter Jayla Peterson who will be born later this year; his mother Cathy (Melvin Pledgure) May, father Brian Peterson and step-mother Kelli Cassidy; siblings Brian Peterson, Jr. and Angie Price, Antonio (Summer) Peterson, Ashley May and Ashley Archie; grandfather Robert May; grandmother Patricia Peterson; aunts and uncles Christie (Jamie) Slutz, Bobbie Jo (Mike) Alexander and Monica (Antoine) Peterson; Jonna’s siblings and her mother, Buffy Morris, who loved him just as much, Amber, Hailey, Jenna, Jonica, Jerica, Jenesa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aaron was preceded in death by his brother Tres Peterson his grandmother Diana May, and grandfather Hubert Peterson. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9th from 5-7 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with a service to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on Aaron’s obituary page at www.paquelet.com to the tribute fund, to help with funeral expenses.
