William J. Bender

William J. Bender, age 64 of Canton, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015. Willie was born on December 10, 1950 in Fairmont, WV, the son of the late John Bender and Marcella Kieffer. He was a United States Marine Corp. veteran and served our country during Vietnam. Willie enjoyed fishing, painting, car shows and spending time outdoors. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son Shawn Bender, his brother and his aunt, Lucille George. He is survived by his wife Cathy (Sheldon) Bender whom he shared 5 years of marriage; his children, Adam, Keith, Robert, and Zachariah Bender, Michael Rumbaugh and Lacey Belknap; 2 grandchildren; his sisters, Dana Arnold, Terrie Smith and Theresa Lanham. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.
