Wildagail Agnes (Gentry) Marshall, known as “Muncy,” passed away in the presence of her daughter on May 9, 2020 in Georgia at the age of 81. Muncy will forever be remembered by her daughter Linda Gail and David Blane Maye, her grandson Donald E. Marshall, her granddaughters Jessica L. and Matt Shirley, and Jennifer G. and Joshua Chini, five great-granddaughters, precious cousins, nephews and nieces. She was cherished and will be missed by those who she said, “Made her heart whole and healed her spirit.” Muncy is preceded in death by her husband Donald Edward Marshall, her son Roy Edward Marshall, her parents Roy S. and Oranoka A. (Braswell) Gentry, and her siblings Mary Parker, Sibyl Miliny, Beulah Kopka, Marjorie Pettay, Roy, Joseph and Bruce Gentry. Muncy was born on January 21, 1939 in Ohio and married Don on November 14, 1956. She dreamed of being a nurse and fulfilled that dream; becoming an LPN. Muncy lived her life loving and serving her family, community and church. She was passionate about her Lord, gospel music, delicious food; all sprinkled with a dash of humor. She was calm of spirit, thoughtful of mankind; and above all else, a peacemaker. A celebration of Muncy’s life will be held 10:30am Monday, May 18th at Henry Warstler Cemetery in Canton, Ohio with close family and friends; and again later in the year due to Covid-19. Let us remember a line from James W. Johnson’s poem, “Weep not - weep not, she is not dead; she’s resting in the bosom of Jesus.“ “For now I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:6-7 In lieu of flowers, share joy, love and laughter with those near you.
