Victor Arthur Smith, age 92, passed away on July 04, 2022. He was born in Brewster, OH on July 09, 1929 to the late Victor and Myrtle (Jackson) Smith. He married Connie Kieffer on June 10, 1979 and she survives him . Victor retired as a Car Inspector for the Norfolk and Western Railroad after 30 years of service. He also worked as a school bus driver for Fairless Local Schools. Victor enjoyed gardening, reading about railroads, collecting antiques and working in his yard. Victor was a hardworking, sometimes stubborn, generous and kind person. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife Connie Smith; his children Jeffrey (Faye) Smith, Michael (Darlene) Kieffer, Mary (Denny) McKenzie and Joseph Kieffer; his grandchildren Sarah Smith, Jackie (Jorge) Moyano, Nathan Frey, Rachel Frey, Seth (Ashley) McKenzie, Kimberly Kieffer, and Joseph (Caitlin) Kieffer and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to parents, Victor was preceded in death by his former wife Ruth Smith; his children Dave Smith and Catherine Frey; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, July 08, 2022 at 2p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1p.m. until the time of the service.
