Thomas J. Wingrove, 79, of Massillon, passed away on January 25, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on May 24, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Leonard and Anne (Farley) Wingrove.
Tom was a devoted family man, an avid NASCAR enthusiast, and a collector of all things, including a very well-organized VHS collection of his favorite shows and movies.
He was also the kind of guy that would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or loved one.
Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a proud member of NRA and Merchant Marines.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Ethel and Randy Lindower and Cheryl and Timothy Lemon; grandchildren Nicholas and Stacy Lemon, Dennis and Jill Lemon, Stefanie Tanner and Lance Jones, and Zachary Pitsenbarger; great-grandchildren, Madilynn Lemon, Gabriel Lemon, Savanna Lemon, Aiden Lemon, Jayci Tanner, Ellie Jones, Caitlin Jones and Gabby Pitsenbarger; his sister, Lois Stevens; niece, Tracy Wanczowski; nephews, William and Erika Asher, Rudy Asher, Matthew Stevens and Michael Stevens; great-niece Caitlyn Asher and great-nephew Justin Asher; as well as numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel A. Wingrove, son, Thomas John Wingrove, daughter Denise Lorraine Wingrove, great-grandson, Nicholas Alan Lemon, Jr. and his sister-in-law Arlene Asher and brother-in-law, William Asher.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 9th at 12 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
