Thomas J. Brost

Thomas J. Brost age 80 passed away following a brief illness on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. He was born Dec. 20, 1942 in Canton. He retired from Portage Electric Products and was a Canton City Schools crossing guard at 11th and Dartmouth for 10 years following retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Dana (Bowers) Brost, son Thomas (Giovanna) of Phoenix, daughter Kimberly (Brian) Wagner of Colorado, daughter Amy Brost and daughter Beth (Mark) Van Voorhis both of Canton and daughter Kathleen (Bill Bramer) Kroft of Colorado. Five grandchildren, Megan (Joe Thompson) Van Voorhis, Zackery (Rachel) Van Voorhis, Alex Van Voorhis, Kaitlin (Zach Davis) Wagner, and Skylar Pecirno-Brost, and five great-grandchildren Sophia, Vincent, Addie, Wesley and baby Boy Van Voorhis. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged companion Beau.

Funeral services will be held on Sat. Jan 28, 2023 at First Lutheran Church at 1pm with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 11:30am -1pm at First Lutheran Church 909 E. Tuscarawas ST. Canton, OH 44707.
