Thomas G. Turkal

Thomas G. Turkal, age 55 of Jackson Twp. passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic. Tommy was born November 10, 1953 in Massillon to George & Norma J. (Pettay) Turkal. He was a 1972 graduate of Jackson High School, received his Bachelor of Science at Mount Union College and his Masters in Administration from Akron University. Most of his 29 years in education was spent at Jackson high School and Washington High School. He taught Science and Physics and was an Adjunct Professor for Walsh University. Tom like athletics, biking, and making things grow. He was preceded in death by his father George Turkal in 2005. He is survived by his mother Norma J. Turkal of the residence and many friends and his students. A Sharing Time of Remembrances of Tommy Turkal’s life will be Monday at 11 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Fr. Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
