Thomas B. Gallion, Sr.

Thomas B. Gallion, Sr. age 73, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014. He was born on March 2, 1941 in Killbuck, Ohio and was the son of Bernard U. and Mary Elizabeth (Still) Gallion. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. Tom was best known for his service with the Massillon Moose, Lodge 481. His career spanned 30 years as the administrator. He also served as the state president and treasurer of the Ohio Moose Association. He formerly owned and operated TeeCee's Main Street Market along with his wife Carol. Following that he was known as "the deli man" at Massillon Walmart. He was preceded in death by his father Bernard U. Gallion and his brother Dale E. Gallion. He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Gallion, son, Thomas B. Gallion, Jr. and his partner Tommy McDaris, his daughter Diana L. "DeeDee" Fay and her husband Terry and Michelle Deibel and her husband Chris. Also surviving are his mother, Mary Elizabeth Gallion, grandchildren Christopher and Hannah, four step grandchildren, the mother of his children and former wife, Mary A. Gallion, brothers, Dean, Bernie, Wayne and Tim, sister Tina Peterman, stepsons Tracy and Matt and step grandchildren, Amanda, Tucker, Carson and Spencer. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services or visitation. His cremated remains will be buried at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to either the Massillon Boys and Girls Club or Children's Hospital of Akron, Ohio in Tom's name.
