Tawni Lee Wagner, 51, of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Tawni was born on June 17, 1972 in Weirton, West Virginia, the daughter of Mark and Beverly (Wright) Montgomery.
Tawni was a 1990 graduate of Perry High School. She worked for Polymer Packaging for the majority of her working career in the accounting department. She was very passionate about helping anyone who needed it, even if it meant putting herself last. She was the most determined woman and never gave up on a fight. She was an avid lover of all animals, especially dogs, and would adopt the eldest and sickest dogs and give them a better life. Her current rescue dog, Lola, was also lost in the house fire.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Jean Wagner, and her grandparents, Betty Reed, and Gene Wright.
She is survived by her daughter, Kiersten Wagner; parents, Mark, and Beverly Montgomery; brothers, Brian (Angela) Daniska, and James Daniska, Jr.; former spouse, Jeffrey Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Stark County Humane Society in Tawni's name. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
