Shirley A. Allen

Shirley A."Moochie" Allen, 74, passed away on April 3, 2016, following an extended illness. She was born in Akron on February 11, 1942. Shirley retired from Ekco and was known for her caring nature and loving outreach to others. She is survived by her husband, M.C. Allen, whom she married on December 1, 1962; children, Alane Allen, Alicia Allen, Mark Allen and Monte Allen all of Massillon; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Slivia "Aunt Pinky" Bryant. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alivia Gilliom; father, Jacob Gilliom; mother and step-father, Willie and Cleo (Perkins) Byrd; sister, Delores Lewis; and a brother Cecil White. Friends may gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11:00am-12:00pm with a Home Going Celebration at 12:00pm, Rev. Anthony Robinson, officiating.
