Sheila Jean Hayes

Sheila Jean (Bishop) Hayes, 62, of Navarre, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Sheila was born on August 12, 1962 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Shelby Bishop and Barbara Stec.

Sheila was born and raised in Detroit, MI and moved to the Stark County area in the early 1980's. Prior to working at Nickels Bakery for the past 23 years, Shelia worked for Avtron Aerospace as a electronic technician. She had a radiant smile that would light up the room. She went out of her way to make sure people were having a good time. Shelia was also an amazing cook. She enjoyed dancing, and spending time outdoors in the Sun. Her strength helped her persevere through many challenges.

She is survived by her daughters, Cherise (Joe) Jacques, and LaToya Hayes; mother, Barbara Stec; grandchildren, Ramel Hayes, Aliyah Wright, Kirby Johnson, Jr., Corey Wright, Jr., Genuine Hayes, and Robert Hayes; great-grandchild, Amara; sisters, Patti (Blair) Lewis, Cindi (Kenny) Downs, and Cheryl Erpelding; nephews, Jack Downs, Alex Downs, and Eric Bezel; niece, Sara Bezel; and her life long special friends, Barb Esway and Bobber "Barb" Williams.

She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Bishop.

According to Sheila's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place.
