Ruth S. Reese

Ruth S. Reese, age 93 of Massillon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Affinity Medical Center. Born on May 4, 1922 in Pleasant City, OH she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Kirkbride) Geibel. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Dave in 1980, her son David, and five brothers and 1 sister. She retired from Ecko housewares after 39 years of service. Ruth was a true country music fan, loved a good cup of coffee, chocolates, solving crossword puzzles and spending time at Seneca Lake. A dear mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her children, Janice (Donald) Crofut, Richard (Carol) Reese and William Reese, her 8 grandchildren, Mike (Diane) Crofut, Lisa (Jim) Straughn, Karen (Tony) Magnani, Wheat (Lynette) Crofut, Kathy (Kevin) Fowler, Amy (Steve) Hazel, David Reese and Rick (Barb) Reese, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Katherine Nickol, Betty Mathers and Phyllis Lowther and her brother, John Geibel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday beginning at noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.
