Ruth E. Mauger

Ruth E. Mauger, age 96 of Massillon, died on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. She was born on July 15, 1914 in Mt. Eaton, OH and was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Villard) Stutz. In 1932 she graduated from the former Mt. Eaton High School. She enjoyed arts & crafts, knitting, euchre and reading. She taught Sunday School at St. John’s U.C.C. for 40 years. She was a member of the Jolly Sixties at the Canton Baptist Temple and the prayer chain at Faith Community Fellowship Church, where she was a member. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mauger and her grandson Israel Young. She is survived by her son Charles E. (Joyce) Mauger of Columbus, OH, her daughters, Cheryl L. (Michael) Hayden of Vienna, WV and Harriet L. (David) Bailey of Massillon, 8 grandchildren Lorrie Young, Keith Mauger, Beth Agourrame, Debra Morris, Cindy Marks, Darrin Bailey, Brian Bailey and Leanne Bailey and 16 great grandchildren, Ryan, Solomon, Sophia, Cameron, Zachariah, Eric, Ashley, Lindsey, Sean, Abigail, Samantha, Seth, Elanor, Peter and June. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Rev. David Kimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. The family suggests memorials be made in her name to either the American Diabetes Association or Faith in Action.
