Robin Schumacher

Robin Schumacher, 67, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Robin was born on January 18, 1956 to the late Virgil and Bernice Edie.

Robin was a music educator for over 30 years at East Canton Elementary School. She is a graduate of Washington High School ('74) and Bowling Green State University ('78). Robin has given piano lessons and volunteered at numerous local organizations to enrich the lives of others through music. Robin enjoyed travel, photography, long walks with Bob, and relaxing over a glass of wine with family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and grand-dogs.

In addition to her parents, Robin is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Edie.

Robin is survived by her loving life partner Bob Trieff; children, Jill (Thomas) Maxson and Derek (Theresa) Schumacher; brother, Alan (Susan) Edie; and grandchildren, Ethan and Sophie.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023 . Beginning at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, there will be an additional hour of visitation followed by a service at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Brookfield Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Aultman Cardiology/ICU team for their compassionate care to Robin and the family over the past weeks.
