Richard D. Fetzer

Richard D. "Rick" Fetzer, 61 of Jackson Twp., passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Massillon on March 12, 1953 and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1971. He went on to work at the Independent for 15 years and for the United Way of Western Stark County for 13 years. For the past 3 years, he was employed as a floor technician with Mercy Medical Center. He served on the board of Community Harvest for many years. He attended Crosspoint United Methodist Church. Rick is survived by his parents, Ralph and Barbara (Hoffman) Fetzer, his sister, Susan (Greg) McFee, his brother, John (Wendy) Fetzer and his longtime companion Heidi Smith. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Shaun (Ashley), Shane (Jessica), Megan (Craig), Zack, Johnny (Roshelle), Jody, Cassie and Brittany and his 7 great nieces and nephews. A service to commemorate his life will take place on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Thom Kalb officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. and on Thursday one hour before the service.
