Philip J. Naylor, age 63 of Jackson Twp. passed away Monday August 27, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. Phil was born March 16, 1949 in Massillon to the late Dr. Everett & Dorothy (Armstrong) Naylor. He graduated from Jackson High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He served in the US Army. He was employed by the Health Department (Canton City), B & W, and retired from B. F. Goodrich. He was a member of Trinity Brethren Church and most recently attended RiverTree Christian Church. Phil loved studying the Bible and sharing his faith. He was an avid fisherman. A loyal Massillon Tiger Football fan and a diehard Ohio State Buckeye fan. A family man who loved 'shooting the breeze' with his grandchildren and others. Phil is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy (Heist) Naylor; they have two daughters and spouses, Melissa & Lee Seeger and Sara & Jason Harrison. He thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren: Nicholas, Jack, David and Madeline. Phil has a sister and three brothers: Charles Naylor, Linda Platt, James Naylor and Mark (Cinde) Naylor. Phil wished for his friends and relatives to gather in Celebration of his life. Friends may call Thursday from 4 – 5:30 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon; a Remembrance Service and reception will follow. The family would appreciate contributions to either the RiverTree Christian Church, 7373 Portage Street N.W., Massillon, OH 44646, for the new church plant at Ohio State University, or Multiple Sclerosis Society, Buckeye Chapter, 6155 Rockside Rd., Independence, OH.
