Peter “Pete” Dimitroff, 92, passed away on January 25, 2021. He was born on July 1, 1928 in Barberton. He attended Massillon Washington High School. Served in The United States Navy during WWII and received a Medal of Victory World War II. In 1954, he joined in Holy Matrimony with Roberta Hardesty Dimitroff, whom preceded him in death in 2020. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Dimitri and Stressa Petroff, who were immigrants from Macedonia; his brothers, George “Butch” and , Tom “ Dogs” Petroff; and a sister, Helen Dimitroff. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, John (Debbie) Dimitroff and Hallie (Tom) Drew; sister, Francis Davis, beloved grandchildren, Brienne (Brian) Halasinski, Leah Drew, Thomas (Kristin) Drew, Alex Dimitroff and Brittany (Justin) Sharritts; and his great-grandchildren, Lilly, Lincoln, Nathan, Hudson, Tommy, Jack, Paxton, Weston and Letty. Pete worked for Conrail Railroad for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf with his son-in-law, Tom, grandson, Thomas and his friends from the railroad. A private family ceremony was held and inurnment was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Pastor Dave Tebbs of First Friends Church presided.
