Patricia Ann Depew

Patricia Ann Ferrell Depew, age 55, of Venice, Florida and formerly of Massillon, Ohio, died Friday morning, June 13, 2014 at her home in Venice. Her death followed a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 3, 1958 in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Sidney and Evelyn (Steele) Ferrell. She was retired from the Hoveround Corporation of Sarasota, Florida where she had been employed since 1997. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Belle (Moore) Steele of Meador, WV and William Thomas and Nancy (Duty) Ferrell, formerly of Ragland, WV and Massillon, OH. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, David H. Depew; sons, Matthew J. Ferrell (Christine) of Massillon; Israel A. Depew (Nicole) of Burke, Virginia; grandchildren Joshua and Abigail Depew; sister Brenda (Ferrell) Sampsel (Bruce) of Massillon; brother Benny Ferrell of Mount Vernon Developmental Center; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, close family and friends to whom she was devoted and who cherish her memory. She brought laughter and love wherever she went and will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family may gather at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral home on Thursday for calling hours from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30 P.M. with additional calling hours one hour before the service. Interment will take place at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon, OH. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice, Florida.
