Michael R. Franklin

Mike R. Franklin, age 76. Mike Franklin of Massillon, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on February 15th, 2022. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 8th, 1945. He proudly served his country in the Army overseas in Korea. While serving he received his high school diploma. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 42 years Betty L. Franklin and his mother and father, Francis M. and Kelsey E. Franklin. Mike is survived by his sons John, Bill (Sandy), and Kelsey; daughter Angie; and grandchildren Amber, Ruel, Colt, Michael, Alexus, Hallie, Garrett, and Ethan. Mike was a machinist at Canton Republic Engineered Steel, retiring in 2011 after 30+ years. He was an active member of the North Lawrence Fish and Game Club and a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, and watching old cowboy movies. A visitation will be held on February 23rd from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11am at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH (330)833-3222. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
