Maynard D. Hostetler, 68 of North Lawrence, passed away at home on June 6, after a 5 month battle with lymphoma. He was a long distance truck driver for 37 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents Fay and Ervan Hostetler. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rita (Ruegg) Hostetler, 8 children and their spouses, Heidi (Joe) Rachel, Connie (Scott) Tissot, Holly (Todd) Freidly, Curt (Wendy) Hostetler, Amy (Rich) Bossler, Ann (Todd) Pratt, Dan Hostetler and Heather (Jimmy) Dull. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Lindsey Rachel (fiancé Josh Witting), Josh and Lauren Rachel, Chelsie, Scottie and Alivia Tissot, Aaron, Cole and Allison Freidly, Logan Hostetler, Ryan, Elizabeth and Nathan Bossler, Ty and Emma Pratt and Katelyn Dull and his loyal dog Mason. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Thomas Cebula on Saturday, June 11th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon from 5-8 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to either St. Barbara’s Catholic Church or Aultman Hospice.
