Mary Turkal

Mary Turkal, age 84 of Jackson Twp., passed away Friday morning at The Laurels of Massillon. Mary was born on Dec. 9, 1929 in Mount Vernon to the late John & Mary (Pribonic) Capan. She graduated from South High School in Akron and retired from the former Super Center (Persky's). Mary was proud of her Croatian heritage, and enjoyed attending the many festivals and picnics. Her family will always remember her support, warm embraces and genuine smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and a brother John Capan. Mary is survived by her daughters, Victoria Turkal of Jackson Twp. and Marie (Eddie) Coletti of Miami, FL. And many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
