Marvin Wester Smith

Marvin Wester Smith, 59 of Akron, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Marvin was born in Akron on December 26, 1955. He was employed as a piece worker at United Disabilities. He loved the outdoors, going to the park, spending quiet time, and hanging out with his roommates at The Southcrest Group Home. He leaves behind his friend, Jon Hegal; his guardians, Patricia (Jennings) Cross; his roommates Richard Jones, Mike Patterson, Matt Giuliani and Warner Hoppe; and many staff that helped care for him over the years. A Celebration of Marvin's life will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 3p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may gather from 2-3 p.m. before the service.
