Mark E. Merritt, age 29 passed away unexpectedly on October 03, 2016. He was born on January 29, 1987 to Wes and Becky Merritt in Canton. He was a 2005 graduate of Washington High School. Mark was a former employee of Shearers and Nickles Bakery. Mark had a passion for music and loved to play his guitar. He was also known as a very good pool player and participated in numerous tournaments. Mark was the type of guy, who never knew a stranger. People knew him for his outgoing personality and his sense of humor. He will forever be remembered as loving son, brother, father and friend. He is survived by his daughter May Lynn Merritt; his parents; his sister Nicole (Randy) Scott; his brother Mike (Jessica) Merritt; his nieces Melanie and Mary Jane Merritt; Nephews Michael and Mason Merritt; his longtime girlfriend Veronica Rohrbach; his aunts Julia (Rick) Shelbrock, Theresa Burwell and Beth Ann (Ronnie) Tatum as well as a host of family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Ed Merritt and best friend Ryan Baus. A Celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, October 08, 2016 at 5p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
