Mark C. Edie

Mark C. "Butchie" Edie, 60 of Massillon, passed away, Sunday, November 30, 2014, following a courageous three year battle with cancer. He was born in Massillon on March 7, 1954 to the late Virgil H. Edie and Bernice (Ickes) Edie of Massillon. Mark was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1972 and Miami University in Oxford. Besides his mother he is survived by his brother, Alan C. (Susan) Edie of Massillon; a sister, Robin R. (Robert Trieff) Schumacher of Massillon; his nieces and nephews, Alison (J.T.) Edie-Krohe, Jill (Thomas) Schumacher- Maxson, Kurt (Fiancée Rachel) Edie and Derek Schumacher. Following Marks wishes cremation has taken place. The family will have a Celebration Of His Life at Butchie's favorite place, on an evening to be determined. Inurnment will be at Brookfield Cemetery. The family wants to express gratitude to the nurses and staff of Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
