Marilyn J. Wright

Marilyn J. Wright age 73 of Massillon passed away Tuesday July 31, 2007, after a dignified battle with pancreatic cancer. Marilyn was born April 29, 1934 in Massillon to the late John P. & Caroline (Schrader) Jacobs. A life resident of Massillon she was a 1952 graduate of Washington high School. She continued her education with Degrees from both Otterbein College and Malone College. She retired after 35 years of service with the Massillon Board of Education as a teacher at both York and Franklin Elementary Schools. Many will remember Marilyn as the Massillon Tiger Booster Club's Calliope player for 25 years. She along with her husband Ron toured Massillon arousing Tiger Spirit. She was an avid bowler and a member of the USBC Massillon Bowling Board. Marilyn and Ron spent many happy years boating on the Muskingum River. She is survived by her husband Ronald D. Wright with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. A son and daughter in law Ronald and Jennifer Wright Jr., of Massillon, along with three grandchildren Erinn, Ronald III Trey, and Garrett. There are two sisters Mildred (Eugene) Zimbello and Hermine Schwendiman. Graveside service will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
