Margaret Darlene Laporte

Margaret Darlene LaPorte, 78, of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Margaret was born on October 5, 1945 in Walnutcreek, OH the daughter of the late Price and Ova (Nolan) Forester.

Margaret was a resident of Massillon and a 1964 graduate of Washington High School. She married 'The love of her life' Robert L. LaPorte and they shared 38 years of marriage until his passing. Margaret was a lifelong Massillon Tigers football fan. She loved working puzzles of all kinds, and camping with her family. Margaret had a passion for plants and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Robert S. (Rachel Payne) LaPorte, Mark A. (Natalie) LaPorte; grandchildren, Rylie LaPorte, Katelynn Feemster, Brexlee LaPorte, Onyx LaPorte, Brooke Rice, and Tyler Rice; great-grandchildren, Bailey Brown, Coraline Brown, and Braidyn Rice; brothers, Ronnie (Janet) Forester, and Jimmy Forester; sisters, Charlotte (Mark) Miller, and Barbara (Adam) Chavez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. LaPorte; son, Brian LaPorte; grandchild, Sydney McInnes; and brother, Bill Forester.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home and on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 10-11 am before the service at 11 am.
