Major Robert Willis Muir, formerly of Malvern, Ohio, died Monday, May 26, 2008 in St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was born on September 12, 1923 in Pittsburg, PA and was the son of the late of the late James Lee and Ethel Mildred (Kissinger) Muir. He was a retired minister in the Salvation Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Sarah Roberta (DeHass) and Elsie Evans Fleming, brothers, Harold, Donald, Leroy and sister, Anna Mary. He is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Kay (Lloyd) Stoops, Naomi Trask, Marsha (Bob) Carney, Tim (Ginny) Muir, Gretchen (Randy) Savage, Dennis (Kathy) Muir, Darryl (Karin) Muir, Keith Fleming, Connie (Jim) Berks, Carol (Jack) Ryans, Nancy (Herb) Bosworth, Kathy (Hugh) Steele, Thelma (Sam) Gibson, David (Mary) Head, Cordelia (John) Stoaks, Jennifer (Levi) Miller, Colleen Peters, and Jason Head, brother Paul Muir, sister, Naomi Pinkerton, 26 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE in Massillon, Ohio, where friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday one hour before the 11:00 A.M. service at the Johnson Hall at Malone College.
