Luanne L. Rector

Luanne L. Rector, 59, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer. Luanne was born on August 5, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Roy and Nancy (Hoffman) Rector. She was a 1980 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. She obtained her associate degree as a physical therapy assistant from Stark State College. Luanne worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for several nursing facilities. She also worked for CommQuest Services as a house manager at the Sober Living Home for Women. She was a true animal lover and rescued as many animals as she could. Luanne also loved the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Rector. She is survived by her daughter, Jersey Rector-Geiger; mother, Nancy Nelson; sister, Laura (John) Leading; brother, Ron Rector; nieces and nephew, Lanessa (Jess) Rogers, Jessica (Peter) Bacopoulos, and Casey (Autumn) Rector; great-nephews, Jase and Cole Rogers, Brady Hufstetler, Lukey and Niko Bacopoulos, and Royce Rector; and special friend, Marjorie Geiger, and her son Nick. A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
