Louis G. “Louie” Clouse, 83, of Perry Township, went home to his Lord & Savior on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Louie was born on July 8, 1938, in Belmont Co., Ohio the son of the late Lewis and Samantha (White) Clouse. Louie was born and raised in Barnesville and moved to Massillon in 1965. He was a truck driver for Superior Meats until they closed in 1989 and then went to work for Nickles Bakery and retired in 2000. Louie enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and was a longtime sports fan. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Massillon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Evelyn Clouse in 2006; sisters, Barbara Lucas, Dorothy Fisher, and Wilma Conner; brother, Clarence Clouse; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Clouse. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Reeves) Clouse with whom he shared 13 years of marriage; sons, David (Martha) Clouse and Douglas (Mary) Clouse; bonus children; Kevin (Sharon) Gault, Neal Gault, and Jodi Trip; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Crossroads Hospice for their compassion and care. A Celebration of Louie’s life will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Massillon. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
