Lenora J. Detwiler, age 80 of North Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2008 following a courageous lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She was at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 2, 1927 in Ellet, Ohio and was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Eliza Olive (Michael) Fraley. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Massillon for more than 55 years and was active in the Women’s Missionary Ministries. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Fraley and her sister Kay Lynn Huffine. She is survived by her husband, Clifford L. Detwiler, Sr., with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage on May 9th of this year, her children and their spouses, Clifford L. Detwiler, Jr. of New Port Richey, FL, Daniel L. (Linda) Detwiler of Scio, Ohio, Marsha A. (Curtis) Atkinson of North Canton, Gail V. (Eli) Byler of Clarksville, MI and Borman Yang of Las Vegas, NV, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her sister Barbara Myers of Palm Springs, CA. A service to celebrate the life of Lenora J. Detwiler will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the First Assembly of God in Massillon (325 Lake NE, Massillon, OH 44646) with Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Greensburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday (TODAY) from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour before the service at the church.
