Lee A. Abbott, 62, of Massillon, passed away on January 13, 2023 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on November 17, 1960 to the late Arnold and Ruth (Houge) Abbott Sr. in Woodsfield, OH. He was a 1980 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He married Julie Jett on November 18, 2017, and they were together for over 25 years.
Lee served his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he was Airman of the Year in 1984, and was a marksman. He was the former owner of Abbott Starfire Gas Station and Fresh Start Carpet Cleaning. He enjoyed coaching sports, golfing, but most importantly spending time with his family. Lee was a genuine, caring and generous person, who would help anyone in need and enjoyed having a good time with family and friends.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his sons, Jason L.(Autumn) Abbott, Nicholas C.(Emily) Abbott and Darel M. Danner; his daughter, Amber N.(Jason) Danner; his grandchildren Mackenzie, Kallie, Tatum, Ari, Jessica, Isabella, Julia, Jayla, Bri, Bryce and Gage; his sisters, Kimberly Y. Abbott, Kathy D. Garner and Helen (Melvin)Whitted; his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Michael, Alan, Jamie, Jeanie and Eric and host of family friends. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his fathers Arnold L. Abbott Sr. and Larry Susic, Ruth E. Wright and his cousin Danny.
A Visitation will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home from 2-4p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow. Messages of sympathy and support can be left at www.paquelet.com
