Lawrence L. "Larry" Slack

Lawrence "Larry" L. Slack, 92, passed away at his winter home in Port Charlotte, FL on February 12, 2016. He was a great outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, boating, motorcycles and gardening. Larry loved to dance and was a charter member of the Red Lantern Flames Square dancing Club as well as a member of many other dance clubs including one in Florida. He is survived by his children, Roger (Launda) Slack of East Canton, Ruth Ann (Mike) Tintinger of Canton and Carol Powell of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion Eleanor Wolfe of Massillon He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret (Wolfe) Slack; son, Ralph Slack; and daughter Iona Wagner. Friends may gather at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 12:30pm-1:30pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:30pm, Rev. Clifford Price, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
