Kimberly E. Poorman, age 52, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Aultman Hospital. She was born on March 18, 1970 in Charleston, South Carolina to Ralph and Connie Young.
She was a 1988 graduate (Salutatorian) of Skyvue High School. A 1991 graduate of Aultman School of Nursing, and furthered her degrees at Walden University. She was currently employed by Aultman Health Foundation since 1988.
Kim was dedicated to her daughters, their activities and adventures. She was always with Emma through all her band, swim, and school activities. She and Emma were always planning their Disney vacation adventures and taking lots of photos for memories. She shared her passion for 4-H with Megan, by spending time showing animals at the county fair, camping/volunteering at Camp Piedmont and being at all her pageants, soccer and school activities. Her commitment to the Big Brother Big Sister Program and her relationship with her “little sister” Tia. Lastly, we cannot forget about Cocoa (family dog), who was always by her side guarding and keeping her warm. Kim and I married on October 08, 1994. She and I enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and boating at our place at Lake Mohawk in Malvern, Ohio.
Kim is survived by her parents Ralph and Connie Young; her husband Art; her daughters Emma, Cocoa, Megan and her fiancé Austin; brother Chris, sister Amanda and her husband Heath; sister-in-law Penny and her husband Marvin; nephews Griffin, Gavin and Blake; nieces Abigail and Maddy; grand animals Takeo, Emikeo, Kamikeo and Lola.
