Kenneth Harold Braun born Jan. 16, 1944 died in his home surrounded by family on October 27, 2020. He was a fighter and battled cancer for three years. Ken was born in Massillon, Ohio and worked as a Combustion Engineer at Republic Steel and LTV Steel. After Republic closed, he worked at St. Mary’s School and church as a Maintenance Engineer. He attended St. Mary’s School and graduated in June of 1962 from Central High School. On November 3rd, 1962 he married his wife, the former Marsha Phallen. Ken and Marsha moved to Florida in 1996 living in Madeira Beach, FL, Lake Wales, FL and currently resides in Vero Beach. His friends always could count on him to be at the swimming pool rain or shine. Ken loved his westerns even after watching them 3 or 4 times. Ken was a lifetime member of the Massillon Council 554 K of C. Ken is survived by his wife Marsha, his son Robert (Bob) Braun, his daughters Debra Marie Braun Negulici (Rick Dilly) and Karen Leigh Braun Mason (Jade). His grandchildren include Christopher (Allie) Mason, Johnathon Mason, Tim (Megan) Negulici, Corey (Brittany) Negulici, Casey (Amber Millard) Negulici, and great grandchildren Beau Mason, Josie Mason, Lillian Negulici, Payton Negulici, Mateo Negulici and Sophia Millard. Siblings include a brother Ronald (Linda) Braun, sisters Becky (Tom Price), Roseanne Basham and Mary Jo (John) Climo, and Cousin Dan Braun (Pam). Nieces include Melissa Climo, Cindy (Steve) Bratton, Suzanne (Mark) Mauger, Joyce Knapp-(Majid) Ovalaon, Dianne (Richard Purney), Mark (Annette) Braun, Bryan Braun, Chad (Alicia) Braun, Mike Braun, Christy (Michael) Schultz, Jamie(Amanda) Basham, and Zack (Lindsey) Price plus many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Harold August William Braun, his mother Joyce Genevieve Ginther, his brother Gary Braun and Sister in law, Jean Mowder Braun, Aunt and Uncle Bob and Norma Jean McMahon, Aunt Joan Woods and nephew Eric Braun. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Nov 5th from 10:00 – 11:00 and a service at 11 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Fr. Thomas Bishop will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Massillon K of C Council 554, 988 Cherry Rd NW, Massillon, OH 44647 for their Kitchen Building Fund, or to the Hibiscus Children's Center, P.O. Box 1742, Vero Beach, FL 32961 And the donor should write in the memo line “in memory of Kenneth Braun” or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, OH. The family would like to thank all who have given their support and prayers during this difficult time.
