Kenneth G. Ruby

Kenneth G. Ruby, 75, of Canton, passed away on December 12, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic / Mercy Hospital, following extended illness.

He was born on December 11, 1947 to the late Kenneth and Elyvene (Reed) Ruby in Cambridge, OH.

Ken was a 1965 graduate of Jackson High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He was a veteran of The United States Army. Ken retired from Motor Wheel, a subsidiary of Goodyear, where he worked as a purchasing agent for 35 years.

He was a member of The OSU Alumni Association. Ken was an avid fisherman and loved his 1995 Red Corvette. He was dedicated to his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and tinkering.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, whom he married on February 8, 1975, KathyA. (Hastler); their children, Amanda J. Ruby, Mark R. (Candice) Ruby and Brian K. (Sara) Ruby; grandchildren, Charlotte A. Ruby, Addison A. Ruby and Aiden K. Ruby; nephews, Joe A. DeOrio and Chris D. DeOrio; brothers-in-law, Joe A DeOrio, IV, and Mark A. (Susan) Hastler.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori M. Ruby; and his sister, Berneta E. DeOrio.

A private family gathering was held.
