Karl August Dittfeld

Karl August Dittfeld, age 88 passed away on January 19, 2013. He was born on January 26, 1924 in Schonnebeck, Germany to the late August and Martha Dittfeld. He married Waltraud Sudek on December 31, 1952 and she survives him. Karl originally worked as a bricklayer and a stonemason for a number of years and retired as maintenance person at Strasburg Provision. He was a longtime member of the New Apostolic Church. Karl will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his sons Karl (Paulette), Jorg (Beth) and David (Denise) Dittfeld; his grandchildren Kara (David) Newberger, Brian (Sara) Dittfeld, Susan (Alisha) Dittfeld, David Dittfeld Jr. and Dana Dittfeld; his great-grandchildren, Kayla, Zach, Jake, Gavin, Dane, Dante and Blake. In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his brother Walter Dittfeld. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Following the service burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery
