Judy Ann Price

Judy would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Judy, age 77, fought a courageous four year battle with cancer. She loved life and made the most of her time here on Earth. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish, and a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She is a past president of both the Central Catholic Alumni Association and the Central Catholic Ladies Guild. She volunteered at Mercy Medical Center for 25 years and at Canton City Schools for 11 years. Judy retired from Canton City Schools in 2006 after 17 years of service. Prior to that, Judy worked at channel 67 and for the Diocese of Youngstown. The daughter of the late Paul and Angeline Miller, Judy leaves behind her beloved husband with whom she would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on July 9th. Her daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Doug Bamfield, and Julie and Ernie Dominik, along with her grandchildren, Jake and Rachel Bamfield, and Emily and Joe Dominik will miss her dearly. Her granddogs Coco and Bentley will also miss the treats and loving from grandma that came on their frequent visits. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4940 Tuscarawas St W. Canton, Ohio 44708 with Fr. David Weikart officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A special thank you to all of the friends, who sent notes, stopped by, made food, or took the time in any way to brighten Mom’s day. We would also like to thank Mercy Hospice, Visiting Angels, the staff at Tri-County Hematology, and the staff at Bethany for the wonderful care you gave our mom. In lieu of flowers, it was Mom’s wish that you send donations to St. Joan of Arc Parish, 4940 Tuscarawas St W. Canton, Ohio 44708, to help with the many ministries there.
