Josephine Ramos, age 90 of Massillon passed away peacefully July 28, 2012. She was born July 8, 1922 in La Coruna, Spain to the late Pedro & Pilar (Varela) Quiroga and came to the United States in 1944. She worked at the Bloomfield Co., as a seamstress and later was the owner-operator of Diamond Nite Club with her husband from 1956 to 1977. In her later years Josie worked at R. W. Screw Products from 1977 to 1987 after which time she retired. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Spanish American Club. In addition to her parents, her husband Anthony Ramos and a sister Virginia Gonzalez preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter and son: Josephine (Terry) Lind and Anthony Ramos and a sister Felicita Diaz. She leaves two grandchildren; Jason (Dove) Hout and Brian (Paula) Lind; three great grandchildren; Madison, Logan and Katie. Josephine "Big Josie" was the strong vibrant matriarch of her family having a smile that could light up a room, always a kind word and contagious laugh. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and keeping busy. Family and friends will miss her but take from her, her joy of life. Funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon followed by the burial will at Calvary Cemetery.
