Joseph P. Loretto Sr., age 91 passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Aultman Compassionate Care. He was born on December 6, 1921 in Navarre to the late James and Florence (Cincinat) Loretto. He married Mary Lou Yurchenko on March 9, 1946, and they spent 67 wonderful years together. She survives him. Joe served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard. After his military service, he went to work at The Timken Roller Bearing Company for 37 and a half years until his retirement. Joe was good with his hands, building several homes and being able to fix just about anything. He also enjoyed bowling in his spare time. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his grandchildren: Jennifer (Bill) Loretto, Kimberly (Antoine) Loretto and Amy Loretto; his great-grandchildren: Taylor Butler, Austin Gerber, Mercedes Carter, Shay Siburt, Israel Carter, Aiden Bradley and Landon Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Joseph P. Loretto Jr., a sister and five brothers. A graveside service will be held at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11A.M. A luncheon will be held following the service.
