John W. Riley Sr.

John W. Riley Sr. age 71 passed away Friday at Hickory Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Akron. He was born September 26, 1940 in Massillon to the late Sam & Anna (Mateko) Riley. He attended Massillon Schools and was employed by Princehorn Electric. John had a love of antiques and anything old and operated the Turn of the Century Antiques. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie; a brother and two sisters, Sam 'Junie' Riley, Patty Nettel and Kathy Taylor. He is survived by three children and spouses, John W. (Carol) Riley Jr., Laura Ann (Stephen) Owen and Kevin D. (Tazie Elward) Riley; three sisters, Mary Ann (Gary) Garber, Virginia (Jim) Shilling and Judy Hogen; five grandchildren, Staci Riley, Laura Steinberg, Chris (Andriella) Owen, Jenny (Stephen) Moore, & Daniel (Teodora) Owen; great grandchildren, Jennie, Charles, Richard, DeAnna, Kylynn, & Melanie; great-great grandchild, Mia Isabella. Services will be 11 AM Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will be at Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
