John Martin Mchale

February 19, 1938 — March 15, 2014

John M. McHale, age 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 15, 2014. He was born on February 19, 1938 in Cleveland to the late John and Margaret (Carrabine) McHale. He was a graduate of Cleveland St. Ignatius and John Carroll University. He married Donna Augustine on July 19, 1969 in Warren, Ohio and they shared almost 45 wonderful years together. John worked as an accountant and controller for many years until his retirement. He was an avid fan and supporter of his alma mater St. Ignatius, attending many sporting events over the years. In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and proudly wore the title "Papa". He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Donna; his children Brian McHale and Maureen (Mark) White; and his beloved granddaughters Maya and Mallory White. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Shafer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10 A.M. Father Edward Gretchko officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M. The family would like to thank his caregivers, in particular Dr. Alan Rudick and the staff of Mercy Medical Center ICU.
