John E. Fisher

John E. Fisher, 60 of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 16, 2015. John was born on January 20, 1955 in Massillon, the son of Wayne P. and Betty A. (Smith) Fisher. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1973 graduate of Washington High School. John was employed at Holmes Lumber in Perry Township. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. John loved the outdoors, drag racing cars and motorcycles, reading, spending time with his family, and had a passion for Rock and Roll Music. He was preceded in death by his father and his daughter-in-law, Donna Joseph Fisher, wife of John Fisher Jr. John is survived by his wife, Mary (Rhine) Fisher, whom he shared 37 years of marriage; his children, John Fisher Jr., Michael (Jami Oyer) Fisher and Kristi (Jesse) Foutz; his grandchildren, Michael W., Rosie, Liam, and Noah Fisher; his sisters and brother, Vicki (fiancée Tom Fellabaum) Parr, Cindy Horne and Todd (Tammi) Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of John's life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
