Janet Penley

Janet M. Penley, 88, of Massillon, passed away June 23rd, 2024.

Janet was born in Massillon, OH to the late Roy and Mildred (Cummings) Limbach. She worked for many years as a clerk for Flemming Foods. Janet was an outdoors person who enjoyed nature. She loved animals, especially dogs. She was an occasional volunteer for Hospice and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Massillon.

Janet leaves behind two daughters, Jenny Krase of Massillon and Joan Long of Richfield; grandchildren Stephen, Gaven, Mariah, Christian and Jenson; great grandchildren Lily, Macy and Stevie Jr. Janet will also be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her longtime friend and former husband, James E. Long and her late husband, Delos Penley; grandson Connor; siblings Richard Limbach, Robert Limbach and Mary Burg; and furry companion, Lucy.

Per Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In her memory, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County or to Crossroads Hospice.
