James W. "Woody" Hart, 95, passed away at Affinity Medical Center on Monday, September 9, 2013, following an extended illness. He was born in Beatrice, WV on March 1, 1918 to the late Grover C. & Ella (Lynch) Hart. James worked at Republic Steel until his retirement in 1966, and then opened Hart's Tax Service retiring in 1980. He loved to discuss the Bible and all things political. Woody had a love of baseball and was a big Cleveland Indians fan. He also loved to tell stories, play guitar, sing and perform for people especially his grandchildren. Woody is survived by a son, Woodrow "Red" (Doris) Hart of Massillon, four daughters, Linda (Frank) Strange of North Canton, Carolyn Bagley of Massillon, Rea Dawn (Lloyd) Wirt of Wooster and Elaine Morris of Massillon, eighteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and a brother, Bradley Hart of Dalton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona (Morris) Hart, and a son, James M. Hart, six brothers, and a sister. Friends may gather at the Paquelet Funeral home on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 9:00AM – 10:30AM with a funeral service following at 10:30AM, burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery, Denny Hazen, officiating assisted by Woody's grandson, Rev.
