Isabel Halco

Isabel Halco, age 94 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born in Dover, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Eli and Etta (Heron) Herman. Isabel graduated from Dover High School and then earned her degree in business at Dover Business College. She also took classes at Stark State University. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Massillon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Halco in 1976 and her sisters, Hazel Lebold, Mamie Herman and Helen Herman and her brother Howard Herman. She is survived by her children, David L. Halco, Sue A. (Jerrald) Weiss, Sally J. (Michael) McGraw and Philip H. (Gwen) Halco, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A service to commemorate the life of Isabel Halco will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday one hour before the service. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Road NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
