Helen V. Robbins

Helen V. Robbins age 74 of Massillon, went to be with her Lord on Thursday at Legends Care Center. She was born on May 9, 1934 in Fayette, WV to the late Lee and Ada (Hall) Sigley and lived most of her life in the Massillon area. Helen retired from Heinz Foods in 1995 following 20 years of service as a laborer. She enjoyed gardening and singing. Helen attended the Massillon Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, John and Mark Talkington; brothers, Phillip, Cecil and David Sigley; sisters, Evelyn Velves, Linda McGarvey and Gladys Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Melvin L. Robbins with whom she celebrated 27 years of marriage in December; sons, Ray and Terry Talkington of Carrollton, Daughter and son-in-law, Joy (Ernest) Knight of Massillon; sisters, Patricia Sams of Mineral Wells, WV, Carolyn Reese and Pauline Kandle both of Massillon; brothers, Clyde and Robert Sigley both of Canton, Lester Sigley of WV and George Sigley of Fl.; grandchildren, Kylene, Jacob and Nichole Knight, Brian, Jamie and Christy Talkington and three great grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating Helen’s life will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Massillon Baptist Temple with her nephew, Rev. Dorsey Davisson officiating. There are no calling hours.
