Helen Eileen Burtt

Helen E. Burtt, age 83, surrounded by her family, passed away on February 11, 2015. Helen was born in Pultney Twp in Belmont County on March 22, 1931 to the late Ellsworth and Luvina (Palmer) Monahan. She was a 1949 graduate of Flushing High School. She married Harold Burtt on September 21, 1966 and they shared 48 wonderful years together and he survives her. Helen's greatest joy was as a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending her time at home with her family, planting flowers, sitting on the porch playing with the dog. Helen is survived by her husband; her children Deborah (Kevin)Taylor, James (Kathy) Myers and Patricia (Kevin) Elward; 10 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and 1 hour prior to the service. Burial at Massillon Cemetery.
